Hello everyone, we are making some major changes to the way CG premium and entry fees work. This is due to our existing model having long been unsustainable and to allow us to offer better services to you.

Going forward, to compete in all of our leagues (CGa, CGd, CGm, CGi, CGp) you will be required to have an active premium subscription throughout the season.

Further to this, players competing in CGm/CGi/CGp will have an additional entry fee at the start of each season.

League Fees:
CGm - $10 per player.
CGi - $15 per player.
CGp - $15+ per player, this will vary heavily depending on the game and LAN final details.
All leagues will only require the "core" players to pay the entry fee, ie only 4 players for 4v4, 5 players for 5v5 etc, any subs will only require premium.

Free competitions:
CGo ladders - no restrictions.
PUGs - limit per week of how many you can play without premium. (currently 10 per week)
Tournaments - limit per week of how many you can play without premium. (currently 5 per week)
Similar future services we offer that appeal to "regular" players will follow these guide-lines and hopefully increase the value of CG Premium.

We will continue to offer solid free services to new users and very casual users. Regular users will hit various restrictions reasonably easy. Please understand that it costs us quite a lot of money to offer our services and if you're using our site for free then other users are subsidizing your costs.

Between league seasons we will run an increased number of premium tournaments and ODCs. We will regularly update what premium tournaments we offer based on which games on the site have the most premium users.

Given that I have held off making this change for a very long time it may seem like quite a dramatic change to many users. Having said that, hopefully most users will see our premium services as worthwhile.

The current features of CG premium are:
- Compete in our CGa, CGd, CGm, CGi and CGp pro comps/leagues.
- Each month receive an entry into a Monthly Final of your choice.
- Go in the monthly draw to win an iPod Nano or $200 credit to the MWAVE online store.
- Play in more PUGs and Tournaments
- Compete in exclusive premium only tournaments with cash prizes!
- Receive instant CG notifications via SMS text messaging!
- Stand out in the forums with huge forum signatures!
- Gain site-wide PREMIUM status
- Support CG's development!

Thanks

Is there still a $150 entry fee for CGP along with the $15+ PP, or is only just the $15 PP like the ESEA style of entry fee?

Quote from Kaotik on the 8th of October 2016
I imagine it being just $15 PP, the latter is really dear but I think if it did work the expensive way, it would increase the prize pool, so in the end, both options work out well, but for players sake, it should just be the PP because money is tight lately for most people.

I don't even know what to say other than these business decisions of late are cancerous and are going to kill this website rather than help it.

Leagues will in general no longer have per team fees. CGp fees are per player now for your core 5, but may vary quite a bit between games, csgo new season will be announced within 24h.

For managers and such that want to pay just the one big fee, in the CG credits area of your profile you can now deposit to CG credits and then sort out the individual payments without all the additional credit card fees per transaction.
