Welcome to the new LPL!

We’ve been quite busy over the past few months...

2nd May 2019

CyberGamer.com and LetsPlay.Live have been united under one roof. All of LPL’s esports media and the CyberGamer online leagues are now all located on one platform. To get you up to speed, we recommend reading this article and maybe also this one if you missed the details of our acquisition in late 2018.

As you can see with your eyeballs, our website has a brand new look and feel, however you will notice many of the same features of CyberGamer.com you have always enjoyed thanks to the hard work of founder and now LPL Head of Platform Jeremy “Asterix” Klaosen.

Those who were familiar with CyberGamer’s website can rest easy knowing our relaunch is intending to build on the well established platform CG has built over the last 12 years. There’s a lot of longstanding legacy associated with the CyberGamer.com name, and some folks will be really sad to see it go. We want to acknowledge the huge part the CG brand has played in growing the esports community in Oceania to where it is today. It is our greatest hope that we can keep that legacy alive inside the new LPL brand, and continue to build on the strong foundations we already have in place.

Change is scary sometimes, and we totally get that – so we’ve prioritised bringing as many familiar elements of CG over to LPL Play as possible. A lot of work has gone into this changeover, but we also know the new platform won’t be perfect from day one, and we welcome your feedback and encourage you to log any bugs you may encounter via a support ticket (where possible please provide screenshots and links!).

And don’t worry, you’ll still see the same familiar friendly faces as your senior admin team. Tham, Bloodhound, Phadez and Jaws will continue to administrate and run their respective title leagues – plus look out for some exciting new titles in the coming months. We’re excited to roll out even more opportunities and games to our community.

With our launch also comes the announcement of LPL Season 2 with more than 10 titles and $50,000 in prize money up for grabs! In the coming fortnight you will find all appropriate information released via event pages and the forum, including breakdowns of each individual league.

The team are looking forward to your reactions to our new look and feel, and we can’t wait to get stuck in to Season 2. For tournament support and discussion please join our public Discord.
